Seppala Photography
Marty
Seppala started his photographic career in high school. Good photography has
always been his passion. With the schools he has attended he is constantly
learning more to help him perfect his craft. He worked for several years in a
photo laboratory, which helped him learn more about exposure, composition, and
the process of film, chemicals, and paper. Now he has the latest professional
digital equipment, which he has become proficient using over the last five
years.
What used to be film and paper, is now digital cameras and
editing software on the computer. Marty has always been very quality conscious,
and always strives for excellence and produces high quality images for his
clients.
His experience includes photographing Indiana Pacers
basketball, Indianapolis Colts football, Indy Car Series, NASCAR, and Formula
One at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Associated Press for the last
twenty two years. Marty has had several photos used by AP, which include his
photos printed in USA Today, Sports Illustrated, Indianapolis Star, other news
papers and magazines around the world.
Marty and his assistant/wife
Jeannie started wedding photography in 1985, and they have served many satisfied
clients in the Indianapolis area. He also does family photography, senior
portraits, commercial, and forensic work. For the last sixteen years he has
done forensic photography of fire scene investigations, many of his photographs
have been entered into evidence prosecuting arson cases and he has testified in
court in those cases to affirm his photographs are true and accurate
representations of fire scenes.
Marty has been an instructor for the
Department of Homeland Security Indiana State Fire Marshal's Office when twelve
fire investigators went to digital camera technology in 2006.. He has
instructed high school kids in digital photography at Lawrence North High School
